After graduating from High School in my quaint Minnesota town, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do next. I knew that a regular 9-5 job wasn’t for me, so I decided to go to Cosmetology School. I had always had an interest in doing hair. As a child, I use to dye my barbie’s hair with food coloring to match her dresses, much to my mother’s dismay.

I ended up falling in love with it and was recruited, while still in school, to join a new, up and coming salon opening in the area. I advanced to become salon manager of that salon while working behind the chair. I had always dreamed of moving, knowing there was more out there for me. In 2005, I got my opportunity and moved to the Milwaukee area.

​

I was very fortunate to spend the next several years working under one of the top stylists in the Milwaukee area. I was featured on The Morning Blend, as well as participating in many photo shoots and fashion shows around the Milwaukee area. In 2009, I traveled to Baltimore to attend the Goldwell Academy and was certified in their Creative Color Placement course.

 

Always striving to grow, in 2010, I decided it was time to take my business into my own hands and opened the doors to Muse Salon. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Nothing makes me happier than taking care of my guests, putting a smile on their face, and making them feel the best they can about their look.

 

When I’m not in the salon you may find me out exploring the city with friends, taking in a Brewer game, biking, kayaking, and enjoying the outdoors
